A Little Late: Blue Highways

Blue Highways...

This book conveys so much warmth to its reader that it is difficult to explain. I feel that no matter what point someone is in their life, this book will bring joy to ones current situation.

William Least-Heat Moon experiences and shares a piece of life that enlightens its readers. The very knowledge of his history on his journey was astounding and never presented his knowledge in an intimidating fashion. I love the fact that the people he presents are real (actual known people) and presents them as they are. In contrast to Steinbeck, Least-Heat Moon was much more authentic. Another thing I liked were the humorous themes throughout the book (rating the diners system).

Overall, I really did enjoy this book even though I am not a fan of the road stuff just because it's difficult to pin point authenticity. William Least-Heat Moon showed me otherwise and as a reader, it is much appreciated.
