Dark Annie

I think that Annie Dillard loves the sound of her own writing, which is why I think she talks way too much. Certainly, her "WASPy" attitude is discernible in her work. Which is why I enjoy the darker Annie much more than the "WASPy" Annie. What does that say about me? Well, I was always the kid who rooted for the Power Rangers to loose. I mean, they always won. Let's break up the monotony and have them lose once in a while. So when the darker Annie reared up her head once in a while, my interest immediately increased. The first essay was very interesting, but I did not know whether or not to place it in the dark or waspy Annie. The second essay, however, was were we got a taste of both Annies. But, of course, to me the dark Annie came out the victor. The part about the expedition to the north pole, and the people dying, was by far the most interesting part. Am I also evil because I enjoy the dark Annie more? Maybe. Maybe I like dark annie because, by definition, WASPy is boring.
