So I'm really into comic books and I was interested to see if there were any graphic novelizations of the books we read, or graphic novels about the authors we've read about. And 'lo and behold there are!
This one is a biography of Hunter S. Thompson from childhood to stardom.: http://www.amazon.com/Gonzo-Graphic-Biography-Hunter-Thompson/dp/1419702424/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334806392&sr=8-2
This one is a fictional(?) account of Truman Capote's fact-gather in Kansas illustrated by one of my favorite comic book artists, Chris Samnee: http://www.amazon.com/Capote-In-Kansas-Ande-Parks/dp/1932664297
The Capote one in particular is pretty good read, and it doesn't hurt that it's nice to look at. If anyone has a couple hours to kill, it wouldn't hurt to check these out!
DUDE! For my final project I'm doing a Walking Dead parody with the main characters being myself and all the authors we read. It's a graphic novel and it's pretty sick so far. Definitely going to look into this
