I have a read a lot of essays throughout my academic career. Some of them were meh and many of them were just words on a paper. Few essays have stuck with me and fewer had me think beyond the hour of reading an essay. Teaching A Stone to Talk was the same. Mulitple essays, but one stuck and that is the first essay, Total Eclipse.
While reading this essay, I was lost. Lost in an unknown and otherworldly realm that was outside my understanding. Staying with the essay proved to be rewarding in itself. Total Eclpise is a spectacular romp through the thoughts of Annie Dillard. It was also confessed to be the last sane moment in her life.

I love details. Little stuff like this really lures me into a story. I appreciate the little things and imagining this..so awesome isn't it?
